FARES SUBSCRIBED.

YOUNG COUPLE ON SHIP. SYDNEY, June 3. When the Monowai was a few hours out from Auckland, a young couple informed the captain that they were stowaways. The husband was anxious to get to Australia to obtain employment, and with the aid of acquaintances on board managed to pay his wife’s fare. Other passengers subscribed the husband’s fare, and their trouble for the time being was ended. The husband states that he and his wife walked aboard at the last moment.
