LIGHT INTERFERES.
THE LANCASHIRE MATCH. HOMESTERS’ POOR SCORE. Received June 4, 9.55 a.m. LONDON, June 3. Owing to had light, stumps were drawn early in the match between Lancashire and the South Africans. Lancashire carried their score of 3 wickets for 33 runs on Saturday to 128 runs. South Africa, whose first innings had yielded 268 runs, had lost 6 wickets for 142 at stumps. While Hopwood gamely plodded on for three hours, a tricky wicket caused Lancashire a series of disasters. The tenth wicket put on 44 runs, saving a follow-on. Details are as follow: SOUTH AFRICA.
