A POSSIBLE REASON. LONDON, March 13. The Daily Telegraph’s city editor says that the real reason for the renewed drive against the pound remains obscure. No valid explanation is available in quarters ulsually well-in-formed. It is assumed that it reflects the general distrust of currencies other than those indubitably attached to gold.
