TRADE IN MEAT.
THE AUSTRALIAN DECISION. SYDNEY, March 13. The cancellation of the meat export permits is expected to lead to the dismissal of upwards of 600 meat workers, and also seriously affect the employment of waterside workers. Nineteen thousand carcases of mutton and lamb, due for loading into three ships at Sydney on Tuesday, were held up owing to a sudden suspension by the Commonwealth Government of licenses for export pending the completion of negotiations with the British Government for the regulation of April to June shipments.
