The Milson School swimming spprts were held in the Terrace End School baths on Thursday- afternoon in ideal weather, therewas a large attendance of parents present, also members of the School Committee and teachers. Mr McAvoy was in charge of the starting, Mr Laing was timekeeper, and Messrs Richmond and Gumming were judges. Lois McKenzie, who won the senior girls’ championship last year, again successful this year. The following are the individual results of the races: —Boys’ 25yds open race: First heat, Jack Robbie 1, Alan Eaton 2; second heat, Colin Robbie 1, John McAvoy 2; final, Jack Robbie L Colin Robbie 2. ; Miss Frances Laloy, daughter of Mr and Mrs E. C. Laley, ot Montreal Street, who has been a pupil at the local High School for the last four years, left for Dunedin on Saturday to further her studies at the University wheie she has taken a course in Bachelor <>{ Domestic Science.
