DUNEDIN WOOL SALE.
WELL DISTRIBUTED BUYING. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, March 9. At the wool sale the great bulk of the offering was station c-lips, and later shorn line wool. Only about 71 per cent, of the first catalogue was passed. Growers and brokers were prepared for a substantial drop in lialf-breds, but the decline was slight. There was not the same keen competition by local mills for super lots, which were Id below February rates. A strong demand was experienced for pieces, but within strict limits. Competition was well distributed. Franco bid keenly, but Germany and Japan were satisfied witli small orders. Bradford was predominant, lifting a big proportion of the fine wool and other offerings. The top prices in the first catalogue were not exceeded to noon.
