AGREEMENT IN CANTERBURY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 4 A settlement was reached in the Canterbury drivers’ award before f tne Conciliation Council this morning. Ihe new award will represent a reduction of 5 per cent, on the old award, which operated two years ago, but an increase of 5 per cent, on the present rate. . There has been no award in the industry for two years. Overtime will be at the rate of time and a quarter.
