PROGRESSIVE TAKARO.

When the Takaro Church Hall was built seven years ago. it was thought to be large enough to meet the needs of the Sunday school for many years. However, with over 150 children on the roll, the Hall Committee has had to provide additional accommodation by building a kindergarten room, 21 feetby 18 feet, on to the existing building. The new room is divided from the main hall by folding doors, and when folded back additional floor space will be available for social functions. In addition to the refectory a roomy and up-to-date kitchen has been added, and altogether the additions should prove of great benefit to this growing district. To mark the occasion an opening social has been arranged for this evening, when an excellent programme, including a play produced by Mrs G. Young, should attract a large attendance.
