TENNIS FEDERATION

REDISTRIBUTION OF VOTES. NEW ZEALAND’S GAIN. PROPOSAL IN HAND. (United Press Association—By Electris Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received March 4, 10.15 a.m. LONDON, March 3. The Observer says the International Tennis Federation on March 15 will consider the redistribution of votes, more greatly recognising tho countries which have become more important since the votes were originally allotted. Although France’s, Britain’s, Australia’s, Germany, and America’s votes are increased from six to twelve, Canada’s, Italy’s, New Zealand’s, and South Africa’s are increased from four to nine. Japan and Czechoslovakia, which formerly had two, will be given nine. Other countries with three will be given seven, with proportionate increases among the lower representations.

Thus the voting power will be increased from 99 to 259. The change also gives the federation a larger income as the cost per vote at the annual meeting is increased from £1 to £2, giving an income of over £SOO.
