(From Our Own Correspondent.) POITANGINA, Feb. 1.5. The annual picnic of the Pohangina IScliool wan held on W edneeday ’ll the domain. The day was beautifully fine and a large gathering enjoyed a varied and interesting sports programme. Mrs Stewart, the school teacher, assisted in every way by the committee and parents, did all possible to ensure an enjoyable outing for the children. The adults were also well entertained both on the picnic ground and on the icnms courte. Lunch and afternoon tea were served after which Mr A. Buhner, chairman of the committee, in presenting the prizes, thanked all who had helped tu make the picnic a success. The'numerous races were won as follow : Hoys 50yde under Byrs: Frank Adams 1.
