CHINESE MARKET GARDENER. (From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Jan. 18. A Chinese market gardener, Lor Hing, of Motuiti, was gored by a bull on the property of Mr Holgerson, there this morning. It appears that the Chinaman was proceeding to work at his gardens and was passing through Mr Holgcrson’s paddock when a bull which was grazing there commenced to bellow and paw the ground. Becoming infuriated, the bull charged Hing, who had attempted to seize its chain, and knocked him down, but fortunately did not continue to gore him. Mr Holgerson went to Hing’s assistance, but the latter was able to walk to his wliare. A doctor who was summoned found that the Chinaman had an injured arm where it had been gored, and a‘.crushed chest. He was removed by ambulance to the Palmerston North Hospital.
