The board had now decided to undertake the survey (at present in progiess) of the second proposal. Estimates were required of the alternative propo-i ils so ttiat the titter line of action could be considered. As a deviation of the road might affect the proposals of the Afana.wutu-Or.nia Kiver Board, that body should be consulted. The -Moutoa Drainage Board, in connection with the same subject, wiote requesting the council to furnish them with full plans and specifications of the proposed work beiore any definite decision was made. Jt was decided to inform the Drain age Board that the Alain Highway Board had been apprised of the position.
