DONATIONS DURING YEAR

Fourteen collection boxes left at various business houses in the city by Mr C. N. Clausen on behalf of Dr Barnardo’s Homes have produced £3 4s during 1934, mostly in pennies and half-pennies, but nevertheless acceptable. The amounts from each box are as follow: Messrs Collinson and Cunningliame, Ltd., 14s; Messrs G. M. Ross Coy., Ltd., 8s Bank of New Zealand, 6s 7d; Union Bank of Australia, 7s 9sd; Mr A. J. Graham, os; Cara and Master Ornberg, ss; Mi' F. Pullyn, ss; Mr Birch’s tearooms, 3s; Bank of Australasia, Is 74d; National Bank of New Zealand, 2s; Messrs Barraud and Abraham, Is ltkl; A Friend, Is 3d; P.D.C. Company, Is 2} d; The Exclusive, Is 6d. Donations are acknowledged as follow: Messrs Keiller Bros., £3; Mr A. Sutherland, £2; Messrs Cooper, Rapley and Rutherfurd, £1 11s fid; Messrs Manson and Clark, £1 10s fid ; Mr J. P. Junes, £1; Mr J. E. Clausen, £1; Mr 11. Tanner, 10s fid; Miss Gaustad, 10s • Mr Max Voss, 10s; Sympathy, ss; total, £ll 17s fid. With the proceeds from the collection boxes, this brings the year’s total to £ls Is fid. In 1933 £lO 6s was realised ; in 1932 it was £l2 Us lid; and in 1931 £34 os od. Thanks are expressed by Mr Clausen to all who have contributed to a deserving cause.
