MAINLY FAIR TO CLOUDY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 15. A small but intense, depression crossed the South Island yesterday and barometers are non’ again fairly high over the Dominion. A depression is located over the north-west Tasman Sea. Forecast: Moderate to fresh southerly winds, veering again to northerly. Weather: Mainly fair to cloudy, but a few isolated showers likely. Seas moderate. MANAWATU^RIVER GAUGE. Noon.—lft. 3ins.
