AVhitakcr’s Almanack for 1935 is now In circulation and it contains even more information than its predecessors. The present issue is the 67th annual volume. As a work of reference it has stood the test of time, being recognised throughout the world as a reliable publication. Its 992 pages of statistical and informative information —relating to every country in the world —covers a vast variety of subjects, scientific, political, economic, sports and pastimes, etc. In response to suggestions from many parts of the world, additional statistical tables of general interest have been added. The general contents of the book have been revised to the latest date. The pages dealing with British Government and public offices have been increased by the addition of the Unemployment Assistance Board and other statutory bodies, while the consolidated rate of pay of civil servants is now shown for the first time. Tables have been introduced to show the trend of prices, production and industry in the principal countries of the world and the distribution of trade in the British Empire.
