AEROPLANE MISHAP.

OCCUPANTS SUFFER BRUISES. CRASH AT LEVIN. Per Press Association. LEVIN, Jan. 15. Disaster overtook an aeroplane last evening when leaving the Tararua Road aerodrome, the machine crashing from a height of 100 feet owing’ to the rudder bar jambing and the pilot momentarily losing control and a steep nosedive resulting. The ’plane, a Hermes engined. Avro Avian, was piloted by Mr A. Greenaway, of Levin, with Mr J. Kane, of Masterton, as passenger, and was en route to Palmerston North. Both occupants suffered shock and bruises and Mr Kane a broken nose. The machine was very badly damaged.
