WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE.
YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. The Wellington stock and share market opened quietly yesterday, but with a firm tone. Government loans were in strong demand with few sellers and no business passing. Bank shares were strongly held. Buyers of New Zealand advanced their offers to 49s 2d, with sellers holding for 49s 4d, and New South Wales were wanted at £3l os, with sellers asking £3l 15s. N.Z. Refrigerating eased slightly, buyers of the fully paid offering 20s 9d, and sellers asking 21s 9d, 3d down on Saturday, while the 10s paid were on the market a.t 10s 6d, with no buyers.
