RECORDS IN WELLINGTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 1. November in Wellington lias beaten all existing records for bright sunshine the hours at ICelburn being registered as 274.9, whereas the previous sunniest November was 263.8 hours in .1910. | November in 1931 was also very sunnv with a total of 262;5 'hours. The average for November is 205.5 hours. ‘ The records so back to 1907 and show that Wellington lias had only three sunnier months than the one just passed—December, 1909, which produced 280.5 hours. January, 1911, which gave 279.5. and January, 1928, which yielded 312.5 hours. ; These months not only have the advantage of longer days to produce the records but have an extra day over November to accomplish it. There was only one‘wet day, the 13tlv. This nearly obliterated the sun altogether. Onlv ten minutes were bright late in the afternoon. The 18th. 20th and 22nd were dull days,. i Besides being the sunniest recorded November in Wellington, the past month has also been the least windy November since 1883. ; There has.probably never, been a warmer November, the month’s mean temperature being 59.2 degrees. On six days the temperature exceeded 70 degrees, and on one occasion soared to ■ 80.5, which has only been ■ exceeded on one occasion, which was in 1872, when there was a maximum of 83 degrees. The rainfall in the November past was just over two inches.' ,
