FEILDING SALE.

SPLENDID TONE IN CATTLE MARKET. A splendid tone prevailed in the store cattle section to-day at the Feilding sale, with over' 1000 head of station cattle being yarded. Prices opened strongly and showed every indication of being maintained. Fat hoggets were in good demand, and ewes sold at late rates. Prices up to 1 o’clock were as follow: Store cattle.—4-yr P.A. steers, £6, £6 8s ; 4-yr P.A. and Hereford steers, £6 6s; 2-yr P.A. heifers, £3 19s; yearling P.A. steers, £3 16s: 3-yr P.A. steers., £4 15s; empty Jersey cows, 275; forward cows, £2 15s ; cows and calves, £2 2s Oil. Dairy cattle.—Spg. Jersey heifers, £4. Fat sheep.—Hoggets, 20s 6d, 22s 3d, 22s 9d, 24s 4d; b.f. 2-tooths, 21s 6d, 22s 6d; ewes, 13s 6d, 14s 3d, 14s 9d, 15s Id, 17s, to 17s 7d.
