MUNICIPAL BAND.

COMMITTEE MEETING

Mr T. Collins presided at the meeting,. last night, of the committee con-

trolling the Eeilding Municipal Band, there being also present Messrs E. Hastie, J. Madden, P. R. Stevens, C. S. Jeffs, E. A. Garlick and C. H. Tate (secretary). The Wanganui Garrison Band wrote thanking the president and the Feilding Band for the hospitality extended it on the occasion of its visit to Eeilding recently. In this connection it was reported that the financial return from the Wanganui Band’s visit had not been up to expectations, the net profit only being £1 12s 7d. It was decided to forward this amount to AVanganui. Matters in connection with the fortlu coming community sing were discussed. The programme is to be assisted by the inclusion of several well-known entertainers from Feilding and Palmerston North.
