MISHAP TO ’PLANE.

MR HEWETT AT WANGANUI. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Nov. 23. Messrs Hewett and Kay, and Messrs McGregor and Walker arrived from Hawera this morning and were welcomed by the Mayor (Mr N. G. Armstrong). Mr Hewett,- on landing with his first load of passengers after a flight over the city, had the misfortune to get into some rough ground and the 'plane tilted on to the right lower wing, crumpling about two feet of the end. It has been ascertained that the damage to the ’plans is slight and the work of repairs has already commenced.
