MANAWATU COMPETITIONS. MID-WEEK SERIES BEGIN. The Manaivatu Lawn Tennis Association’s mid-week competitions commenced yesterday afternoon under exceptionally favourable conditions. MANAWATU v. PALMERSTON NORTH. Palmerston North played Manawatu at the latter’s courts, winning by 16 sets to 0 and 134 games to 62.
