ORION MOTOR CYCLE CLUB.

BRUCE AND BAI CUP RELIABILITY TRIAL. Eight riders took part in the annual reliability trial held by the Orion Motor Cycle Club for the Bruce and Bai Cup at the week-end. The route from Palmerston North was to Ashhurst and then to Feilding_ by way of Bunnythorpe. From FeTkling the route was to Halcombe and over the Kakariki bridge to Crofton, near where the main road from Bulls to Wanganui was joined. The competitors lunched at Wanganui and after a short stop set out on the homeward journey which was over a different route. The main road was followed to Turakina, where a detour was made through the Turakina Valley and down to Marton. The main road was joined north of Bulls and was followed for the remainder of the journey. The average speeds set for the various portions of the route were slow, but every competitor was behind time on the outward ■ journey, the whole field travelling too slowly. The results were as follow, the figures representing points lost on the outward and return journeys:—ll. Ballinger, 24—89 —113 points lost, 1 and Bruce and Bai cun and replica; H. Robson, 15 —H7 —132 points lost, 2 and gold medal; F. Mitchell, 21—128—149 points lost, 3. Also started: J. Manning, 32—127—159 points lost; J. Woodland. 78—126—204 points lost; D.
