LUNCH CLUB

There was a good attendance at the Palmerston North Citizens’ Lunch Club gathering to-day, t when Mr A. M. Lascelies, who recently returned from a visit to the United States, gave ail address on “Glimpses of America.” Mr J. A. Colqulioun presided, and on his motion the speaker was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Visitors welcomed were Messrs H. Russell (Auckland) and T. M. N. Rodgers (Palmerston North). The club decided to extend its con-

gratulations to Mr J. M. Saunders, manager of the Palmerston North branch of the Union Bank of Australia, Ltd., on his promotion to the position of manager at Christchurch.
