IMPROVING CARLTON AVENUE
“The cost of tar-sealing Carlton Avenue from kerb to kerb I estimate will be £262,” said the. city engineer (Mr J. R. Hughes) in a report made to last evening’s meeting of the City Council. It was decided on the recommendation of the works committee that the tarring and sanding of the roadway in the avenue be referred to next year’s estimates and that the engineer be authorised to proceed with the work of altering the camber of the road as he had suggested.
