QUEEN CARNIVAL.

The programme arranged by the Scottish Society in connection with the queen carnival will be continued to-morrow night at the Cosmopolitan Hall, when the inglceido will be in the form of a pleasure cruise around the world. The hall will bo arranged as a ship’s deck and will be under the control of special ships’ officers who will entertain the passengers by providing dances peculiar to the various countries visited during the voyage. A special novelty event will tie introduced when the Pacific is crossed, and patrons are assured of many entertaining sights. On Thursday next at 2.30 p.m. the ladies’ committee are holding a jumble sale in the Orange Hall, when a great variety of n-oods will Ire displayed for sale and the publio are assured of obtaining some excellent bargains.
