DEATH BY LIGHTNING.

CAPETOWN, Nov. 17. An East London message states that a single flash of lightning killed 66 natives who were drinking beer m a large hut at Clarkebury. Nine were seriously injured, and the majority are not expected to recover. Fifty-six were killed outright, the bodies being terribly burned. The hut was soon a blazing inferno. Of the 19 others who managed to get out, 10 died. All; were crowded in the hut when the storm burst over the place.
