TYPHOON DISASTER.

MANILA, Nov. 17. As fragmentary reports continue to come from insular provinces it is estimated that between 200 and 300 persons were killed in a typhoon which swept the islands in the middle of the week. Forty-one bodies have been recovered at Luzon Island, on which Manila is situated. No definite estimate can be made as there are many islands from which no communications have yet been received. About 200 are believed, to be dead in the province of Tayabas, wliei'e many were washed out to sea.
