TRIBUTES TO DR DICKIE

DUNEDIN, Nov. 7. The Presbyterian Assembly met at First Church, Dunedin, to-night, when the building was crowded. The retiring moderator, Rev. D. D. Scott, conducted the service, and moved Rev. Principal Dickie’s election as moderator. Dr Dickie delivered an address on the present day theological situation. Various committees were set up to expedite the business prior to the opening of the assembly. Past and present students met Dr Dickie and presented liim with modcrn-toricd i’OuGs. Eloquent tributes to his work and loyalty to the Christian faith were paid by several speakers,.
