TRUSTEES ELECTED.
SLUGGISH RIVER BOARD
For the five positions as trustees on the Sluggish River Drainage Board, six nominations were received, all the original members again seeking office, while Mr W. H. Gimblett was a newcomer seeking election. The result of the poll yesterday found Messrs F. J. Foster, W. H. Gimblett. A. N. Morcom, P. J. Ryan and E. C. Print, returned.
These five gentlemen will now const! tute the board for the ensuing term.
MAKERUA DRAINAGE BOARD. An election was also held yesterday by the Makerua Drainage Board to determine the composition of the board, nominations having been received from nine ratepayers for the seven positions as trustees. The withdrawal of Messrs S. R. Young and J. H. P. Liggins left five of the members who had held office last term to seek re-election- —Messrs W. Jackson, G. Larsen, T. D. Lynch, E. E. Mabin and H. Seifert —and they were returned to office, while the two vacancies were filled by Messrs \V. J. Ross and J. D. Aitchison.
