PRIVATE CONTACTS.

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Nov. 3. The French and Italian Embassies in London have been informed of the course of the recent naval conversations. The first part of the conversations is now over, hut they are being followed by a good deal of useful private contact, supplementing the meetings which will be held at intervals. To-day Mr Matsudaira and his wife and Mr Yamamoto were the guests of the Prime Minister (Mr Ramsay MacDonald) at luncheon at Chequers.
