As Scott won the speed race he is ineligible for the handicap prize, which is thus won by Parmentier, with Melrose second. The net flying times of all handicap competitors are: —
Scott: 64 hours 48 minutes. Parmentier, 76 hours 38 minutes. Melrose: 79 hours 17 minutes. Stodart (Britain), Air Speed Courier, 79 hours 32 minutes.
McGregor (New Zealand), Miles Hawk, 82 hours 43 minutes. Hewett (New Zealand), Dragon, 85 hours 42 minutes.
Hansen (Denmark), Desouter, 87 hours 45 minutes.
As Parmentier has accepted first prize in the handicap race, the second prize in the speed race goes to Colonel Roscoe Turner (United States), and third to K. Waller (Britain).
The handicaps were : —Stack, Turner, and McArthur, scratch; the Mollisons, 35 min 24sec ; C. W. A. Scott and T. O. Black, 35.24; Waller and Cathcart Jones, 36; Woods and Bennett, 2hrs 31min 48sec; Parmentier and Moll, 6.31.12; Wright and Polando, 13.11.24; Davies and Hill, 17.10.48; Parer and Hemsworth, 19.5.24; Stodart Bros., 20.51.36; Hewett and Kay, 21.9.0; McGregor and Walker, 35.22.12: Brook and Miss Lay, 37.27.36; G. L. Shaw, 39.54.36; C. j. Melrose, 40.58.12; Hanson and Jensen, 42.2.24.
First prize in the handicap race is £2OOO and second prize £IOOO.
DUTCHMEN RETURN HOME.
AUSTRALIA LEFT.
DARWIN, Nov. 5. The Dutch Douglas air-liner piloted by Parmentier and Moll, which left Brisbane at 5 a.m. on Monday, arrived at Darwin at 3 p.m., a last trip, and resumed for Koepang and Bali at dawn to-day.

(By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 5.
The question of making some monetary recognition of the flight from England to Australia of Messrs McGregor and Walker and Messrs Hewett and Kay has not yet been considered by the Government.
Discussing the matter to-night, the Prime Minister (Mr Forbes) said that any decision must necessarily be delayed until the men arrive in New Zealand.
