DESIRE FOR INFORMATION. Mr M. J. Savage asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the importance of the meat imported into Britain, he would make a statement regarding the progress that was being made in the discussions on the subject that were takng place between representatives of New Zealand and Britain. Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes said he was unable to make a statement at present, as the discussions were still proceeding, but he hoped to do so in a few days.
