AGRICULTURAL BILL.

ATTITUDE OF FRUIT BOARD. Per Press Association. HASTINGS, Nov. 5. A statement that the New Zealand Fruit Control Board had decided to take no action in regard to the Agricultural Amendment (Emergency) Bill was made by Mr Ralph Paynter, chairman of the board, when speaking at a meeting of fruitgrowers in Hastings. “The board has decided to take no action,” said Mr Paynter. “ ‘The Big Three’ will have wide powers, blit it is quite possible some alteration will be made in the committee stages. Personally I think the fruitgrowers would he well advised to leave the matter alone. Tho Bill has not yet passed the committee stage, and there is every likehhood of alterations being made to it.
