SIDE WAGER OF £SOO.

Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 5. Mr J. S. Shaw, owner of Worthy Queen, has accepted the challenge of Mr F. J. Smith, owner of the American mare Nell Volo, to race any trotter over a mile for a side wager of £SOO. Mr Shaw stipulates for three heals of a mile each, the winner of two of the three heats to tako the stake, tho match to take place about Chrstmas and the side wager to bo augmented by the club where the match eventuates.
