TRIAL OF INSULL.

CHICAGO, Nov. 1. Nearly a month after the start of his trial, Samuel Insull to-day gave evidence on his own behalf.

Aged and careworn, Insull reviewed his career from the time Thomas Edison brought him to this country in 1881 to the time he became head of _ the “Utility Empire,” embracing thirtynine States.
