MELBOURNE REGATTA.

CREW FROAI DOAIINION. AIELBOURNE, Nov. 2. Henley, one of the greatest days of Alelbourne’s social year, is expected this year to be the best yet. It is raining to-day, but the prospects are good and arrangements promise to make the re gatta the most colourful and spectacular yet held. New Zealand’s interest is centred in the Wanganui crew, one of the twelve crews competing for the Grand Challenge Cup for senior eights. English and New Zealand crews are entered for the first time in this blue riband mile race of the southern hemisphere. The New Zealanders’ form is still good. Nearly 500 oarsmen are taking part in the various events.
