STREET STALL.
The various organisations taking part in the carnival to raise funds for the local hands have been busily engaged in preliminary efforts. To-day found the Garrison Band committee conducting a stall in the Square, where goods of all descriptions were on sale, while the public were being invited to participate in competitions. The ladies assisting with tho effort were Mesdames D. Evans (convener), F. Collis and Carlisle, and Misses Beryl Oakley (the band’s queen) and E. Boon.
