SECESSION MOVE
THE WESTRALIAN PETITION. HANDED TO MR J. H. THOMAS. FOR ROYAL CONSIDERATION. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received November 2, 10.20 a.rn. LONDON, Nov. 1. The Western Australian petition for secession was presented to-day. Mr H. K. Watson, acting as King’s Messenger, handed the petition to Mr J. H. Thomas at the Dominions Office,for formal submission to His Majesty. Mr Thomas intimated that he was placing the petition before the King, “whose pleasure in due course will be communicated to the people of Western Australia.”
