TUBERCULAR COWS.

PROPOSED ELIMINATION. HAMILTON, Nov. 1. Sir Arnold Theiler, the eminent veterinary surgeon, said in an interview that he considered that the recommendation of the Dairy Commission concerning the necessity of slaughtering tubercular cows was worthy of the utmost consideration. Elimination of infected animals was. the only way to stamp out the disease, although it would mean considerable cost to the Government or the farmers. The end would justify the means, as New Zealand produce would gain a wonderful advertisement if it could be said that there were no tubercular cows in the Dominion.
