QUEEN CARNIVAL.
Hundreds turned away from flic concert in the State Theatre last Sunday. Why? Because an excellent concert was presented for an excellent cause, featuring Ivan Perrin, the wizard pianist, with a splendid supporting programme. This concert will bo repeated at the State Theatre next Sunday, Mr Perrin having generously consented to return from Wanganui, thus giving Palmerston North citizens a last opportunity of seeing and hearing this talented artist. A'splendid supporting programme has been arranged and another capacity house is expected on Sunday night. Patrons arc advised to avoid the disappointments of last Sunday, by reserving their seats at once, either at the N.Z.I. Coy. or Airchison’s Pharmacy, where the box plans have been opened. The price for booking is Is per head and for such a cause, with such a splendid programme, citizens should make a point of reserving seats without fail. The Garrison Band must defend its title at Timaru, in February, and here is an opportunity to help a worthy cause. Fill the theatre and help the band.
