PAHIATUA. Nov. 1

Private advice was received in Paliiatua this morning of the death in Motueka of Mr John McCarthy, a resident of that province for the past twelve years, and formerly a settler at Mangaramarama and Makuri. He was a foundation member of the Pahiatua A. and P. Association, taking an active and enthusiastic interest in the organisation.

Mrs Burt and Mr W. Burt,, of Omakere, have been the guests of Mrs Martin, Tararua Street.
