TERRACE END SCHOOL.

JUBILEE PREPARATIONS. A meeting of the central executive controlling the jubilee arrangements of the Terrace End School was held last evening, Mr W. B. Tennent presiding over an attendance of 25 members. There were several apologies for absenCe The chairman reported that Major Cowper had agreed to judge the model aeroplane competition. It was decided to conduct a baby show on the Friday, which will be a gala day. The procession of past and present pupils is to leave the Terrace End Park for the school at 1.30 p.m., after assembling at the park. It was decided to call the roll only of those who attended the school in its first year. With regard to the banquet invitations are being extended to the chairmen of other school committees, the chairman of the High Schools Board of Governors, the local representatives on the Education Board, the principals of the secondary schools, and headmasters of the primary schools. The treasurer reported that a credit balance of £25 was at present in hand. The secretary stated that very few replies had been received from expupils as to which functions they would attend, and he expressed the hope that a better response would be made this week. He stated that all former pupils, whether contributors to the fund or not, were entitled to attend.
