AGRICULTURE COMMISSION.
OPPOSITION TO PROPOSAL. Per Press Association. HAWERA, Nov. 1. “This executive strongly disapproves of the proposal to esta.blish a nonelective Executive Commission of Agriculture armed with unlimited powers of control over the primary industries of the country and urges Parliament to delay the enactment .of the proposals until they have been approved by the primary producers.” The foregoing was the text of a solution passed bv the South Taranaki branch of the Farmers’ Union this morning, it being decided to telegra.pli members of the Government to this effect.
