TEST CRICKETERS RETURN.
RETIREMENT OF WOODFULL. FREMANTLE, Oct. 30. The Australia Test cricketers returned to their native soil to-day by the Orontes, and were given an ovation. At the civic receptions at Fremantle and Perth, Woodfull announced his retirement from first-class cricket. Mr C. H. Busliby, manager of the team, announced that the remainder or the team appeared willing to carry on, and thus there was no need to worry over the prestige of Australian cricket tor the next five years. _ Australia’s share in the receipts from the tour reached the record sum of £30,000, which is augmented by £6OOO in exchange. The players are agistating for a share of the exchange in addition to their allowances, amounting to £62 10s each, but the Board of Control docs not intend to grant the request.
