MEETING OF SOCIETY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct, 30. At the annual meeting of tho New Zealand Society of Secretaries, held in AVellington to-night, the guests included Rt. Hon. Sir Francis Bell and Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon.-J. A. Young) extended a welcome on behalf of the Government, and the Mavor of Wellington (Mr T. C. A. Hislop) on behalf of the municipality. The annual report stated that the membership of the institute was 695, comprising 533 fellows and 162 .associates, an increase of 223 on the previous year. Mr E. A. AVallace was reelected president. Messrs A. Lyttle (Canterbury), G. J. Garland (Auckland) and D. L. Bone (Auckland) were elected to the council.
