HOKOWHITU SWIMMING CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING HELD. In preparation for the new season, the annual meeting of the Hokowhjtu Swimming Club was held on Monday night, when Mr G. D. Pattle presided over a good attendance of members. The report mentioned that the past season had not been so successful as the preceding one owing to the indifferent weather which had been experienced. In this respect the club had been particularly unfortunate with its gala nights, the” elements restricting the attendance of patrons. The balancesheet showed that a small credit had resulted on the year’s operations. The election of officers for tho ensuing term resulted:—Patron, Mr A. E. Mansford; president, Mr G. D. Pattle; vice-presidents, Dr K. Dean, Messrs E. D. Wycherley, J. Fahey, W. R. Kells, J. Selwyn, L. J. Plank, A. E. Ekstedt, J. B. Fleck, H. Whitehead, R. Richardson and R. V. Burns; club captain, Mr R. Milverton; committee, Mesdames Franke and Jones, Miss M. Ekstedt, Messrs Huntington, J. Kells, G. Pattle, E. D. Wycherley and’ M. Wycherley; delegates to the Manawatu Swimming Centre, Messrs It. Milverton and G. D. Pattle; joint lion, secretaries and treasurers, Messrs P. Sears and P. Tremowan; hon. auditor, Mr J. Selwyn.
