FATALITY AT WAIHI

WAIHI, Oct. 30.

William Alair, aged 23, single, Avas killed to-day in the Waihi mine. Alair and a mate, T. Bright, had been trucking from the shrinkage block below the No. 11 level when a fall. of rock occurred, striking Alair on the head and body and killing him instantly. It was the first fatal accident in the mine for seven years.
