WOMEN’S WORLD
Mrs W. J. Day left on Saturday for a motor trip to Auckland, Rotorua, and North Auckland, with her father, Mr W. 11. P. Barber, of Wellington. Miss L. M. Lea, nurse inspector of the Health Department, has been appointed matron of- the War Memorial Hospital, Suva, Fiji, and will leave New Zealand on November 11 to take up her new duties. The appointment is for a term of three years.
Miss P. Corn-foot, of Holcombe, is spending a holiday in Australia.
Mrs J. Louisson, of Palmerston North, has as her guests Miss Yvonne Jacques-Blackmore, of Lower Hutt, and Miss Irma Duncan, of Auckland. A visitor to Levin over the weekend, Miss Gloria Stansell, is an accomplished aviatrix, being the holder of a pilot’s A certificate. She is the fortunate possessor of a ’plan© due to arrive in Ne\t - Zealand very shortly.
