Received October 30, 1.35 p.m. OTTAWA, Oct. 29. Declaring against an election, Mr R. B. Bennett (Premier) announced that Mr W. W. Kennedy will succeed Mr H. H. Stevens as chairman of the price spread inquiry. The retail merchants’ organisations throughout the Dominion are supporting the stand of the Minister. Mr Manion (Minister of Railways) is likely to become Trade Minister.
